Primarius Blog - The dangers of using Public Wifi

From time to time we receive spam emails from clients and on one occasion a forwarded invoice appears to come from our office but from a slightly different email address. In each instance, we have pinned the cause of the problem to their use of public wi-fi and that their details have been accessed.

The Australian Signals Directorate recommends using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Our office policy is that Public Wifi may never be accessed without using a VPN.
